A) For the Post of President

1. Mr. Hemant Takle

Member of Legislative Council Maharashtra for the past 10 years. Very active in cultural and social work. Associated with National Assocaiation for the Blind, India for more than 30 years in various committees. Served as Vice President for several terms and also as the President. Would like to serve NAB, India again. 

2. Dr. Rakesh Jain

डॉ. राकेश जैन (प्रत्याशी अध्यक्ष पद-NAB India Mumbai)

गत 30 से भी अधिक वर्षों से दृष्टिबाधितजनों के बहुआयामी पुनर्वास के लिए विभिन्न संस्थानों के साथ जुड़कर कार्य करते रहे हैं। उत्तर प्रदेश में दृष्टिबाधितजनों के लिए तकनिकी शिक्षण, आधुनिक उपकरण, डिजिटल क्रांति लाने का श्रेय डॉ. राकेश जैन का ही माना जाता है। अध्ययन सामग्री का डिजिटल रूप से भारत में सर्वश्रेष्ठ रिकॉर्डिंग करने का काम भी इन्ही की देखरेख में आर.एस.वी.आई. द्वारा किया जाता है। दृष्टिबाधितजनों के अधिकारों के लिए शासन प्रशासन के साथ कभी मिलकर और कभी संघर्षरत रहकर सकारात्मक परिणाम प्राप्त किये जाते रहे हैं। वर्तमान में उत्तर प्रदेश के सर्वश्रेष्ठ डिग्री कॉलेज में अंग्रेजी के असोसिएट प्रोफेसर के पद पर रहते हुए अनेकानेक प्रशासनिक दायित्वों का निर्वहन करते हैं, साथ ही आरएसवीआई में महासचिव के पद पर भी आसीन हैं। ये स्वयं भी दृष्टिबाधित हैं।

B) For the Post of Vice-President

1. Mr. Clarence A. Gomes

President, Bandra Residents Action Group. Editor, Bandra Times. Retired Executive Director and now Elected Vice President of National Association for the Blind. Recipient of the Government of the Maharashtra State Award for having employed the Highest Number of Blind Persons. Was earlier appointed Special Executive Magistrate and now is Special Executive Officer, Government of Maharashtra. Contested for two Mumbai Municipal Elections. Member of Advisory Board of Holy Family Hospital.

C) For the Post of General Secretary

1. Mr. Satya Kumar Singh

Educational qualification: M. A. in Political Science and Sociology.

Social activities

1. Secretary-General, National Federation of the Blind, U. P., from 1979 to 1982.

2. National General Secretary, National Federation of the Blind, India from 1982 to 1987

3. President, National Federation of the Blind, U. P. from 1987 to 2008

8. Financial Advisor, all working on food right Organized Fian Epidadia from 2003 to 2008.

9. Presently HSG of the National Association for the Blind (NAB, India, Mumbai) as well as representative of Asian Blind Union and World Blind Union.

10. Member of State Advisory Committee for the upliftment of the Visually Challenged from 1979 to 1982.

11. Member of the Advisory Committee for Employment of Visually Challenged in Government of India from 1982 to 1987.

12. Member of State Co-Ordination and Advisory Committee, Uttar Pradesh.

Achievements

1. As a result of the struggle for employment for the visually impaired, the Government of Uttar Pradesh employed 11 VC in the year 1980, 38 in the year 1981, and 213 in the year 1982.

2. As a result of the struggle for employment the Government of India provided semi-government and government services to thousands of VC between1984 and 1985.

3. After moving a PIL Between 1990 and 1998, the Honorable High Court issued order to employ 251 VCPs.

4. As a result of the struggle several important announcements were made for rehabilitation, education, training and employment by the then Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh from the mid 2009.

5. As a result of the struggle the Honorable High Court of Allahabad issued an order in 1997 permitting writers for Visually Challenged candidate appearing for UPSC exams.

6. The Allahabad High Court in the year 2003 ordered for an injunction on the appointment made by the Secondary Education Service Selection Board, directed to make reservation for Visually Impaired and ordered to issue fresh advertisement for recruitment.

D) For the Post of Secretary

1) ANAND SITARAM ATHALEKAR

B.Com., LL.B.

Diploma in Teaching the Blind (India)     

Diploma in Teaching the Blind (Perkins, U.S.A)

Did Diploma in Teaching the Blind in 1975 in Mumbai and stood first amongst all the candidates. Undergone one year Diploma course in Teaching the Blind at Perkins School for the Blind, U.S.A. Introduced Abacus for the first time in the School for the blind in India, which helped children acquire speed in mathematical calculations.

During tenure in Education Department of National Association for the Blind, India Integrated Education as Coordinator, Education Officer, Deputy Director and Director of the Department initiated hundreds of Integrated Education Units throughout the country, especially in the remotest areas of rural India, whereby thousands of blind children came under the fold of education. Travelled extensively in all parts of the India to spread Gospel of Integrated Education. Penned a dozen of books including ‘A book on early preparation for Integrated Education’ and ‘Braille Teaching Course’.

From 2007 holding the post of Honorary Secretary of National Association for the Blind, India. Also recipient of “Thomas Memorial National Award” for exemplary service for the field of education of blind in the year 2003 and “Rustom Merwanji Alpaiwalla Memorial Award” for outstanding work in the areas of education of the blind in the professional category for the year 2006.

2. Mr. Mantosh Kumar

मंतोष कुमार (प्रत्याशी सचिव पद-NAB India Mumbai)
पिछले 10 वर्षों से दृष्टिबाधा व विशेष शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में लगातार कार्य करते आ रहे हैं। इनकी रूचि मुख्य रूप से जागरूकता व अ/धिकार संरक्षण पर केन्द्रित रही है। वर्तमान समय में ये लखनऊ के डॉ. शकुन्तला मिश्र विश्वविद्यालय से विशेष शिक्षा विषय में शोध कार्य(Ph.D) कर रहे हैं तथा इनके द्वारा दिव्यांगजन अधिकार अधिनियम सहित सम्बंधित विषयों पर राष्ट्रिय एवं अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संगोष्ठियों में व्याख्यान प्रस्तुत किये जा चुके हैं। इनके द्वारा किये गए कार्य मुख्यतः उत्तर प्रदेश, उत्तराखंड, बिहार, झारखण्ड व दिल्ली जैसी जगहों पर प्रभावी रूप से कारगर साबित हुये हैं। इनके द्वारा दृष्टिबाधितजनों को तकनिकी से जोड़ने के प्रयास के तहत भी लगातार संगोष्ठियों एवं कार्यशालाओं का आयोजन कर दृष्टिबाधितजनों को तकनिकी से जोड़ने का लगातार प्रयास किया जाता रहा है। सामाजिक उद्देश्यों को प्राप्त करने के लिए इन्होने ‘होप ऑफ़ डेस्टिनेशन’ नाम की स्वैच्छिक संस्था स्थापित की है जो निश्चित ही मंजिल के लिए एक आशा की किरण सबको दिखा रही है। ये स्वयं भी दृष्टिबाधित हैं।

3) Advocate Shraddha Shrivastav Khan

अधिवक्ता श्रद्धा श्रीवास्तव खान (प्रत्याशी सचिव पद- NAB India Mumbai)
गत 15 वर्षों से दृष्टिबाधितजनों के लिए आरएसवीआई में कोषाध्यक्ष एवं मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी के पद पर रहकर असंख्य कल्याणकारी योजनाओं को संचालित करती रही हैं। दृष्टिबाधा में ही नहीं वरन मानसिक मंदिता एवं श्रवणबाधिता के क्षेत्र में भी स्नातक स्तर तक विशेष शिक्षण प्राप्त किया है। विभिन्न समाज सेवी संस्थाओं के साथ जुड़कर हमेशा दृष्टिबाधितजनों के पुनर्वसन हेतु कार्य करती रही हैं। विधि में स्नातक उपाधि प्राप्त करने के पश्चात् विशेष रूप से विकलांगजनों के अधिकारों की रक्षा करने के उद्देश्य से विकलांगता के क्षेत्र में ही कानूनी विशेषज्ञता प्राप्त करने में लगी हैं। वर्तमान में ये लखनऊ हाई कोर्ट में प्रैक्टिस कर रही हैं।

4) DR.VIMAL KUMAR DENGLA

His success mantra is simple, do your job well and show your presence – “be a bit dashing”. Discussing the scenario in the disability sector in India, Vimal Dengla says, “I feel that technology, and especially its availability at cheaper prices these days, has played a significant role in changing the quality of life. However, the process of spreading awareness needs to be carried on”. This has made it possible for him to aspire for his Ph. D., which he finally achieved in 2009. He was awarded the doctorate of philosophy (Ph. D.) by Ram Manohar Lohia Avath University, Faizabad. Vimal Dengla born on 22 February 1974 joined NAB, P. & N. Merwanji Rehabilitation center for the Blind, at Mount Abu, totally on his own merits, as the Principal on March 1st, 2003, when the management of NAB gave him the responsibilities to rejuvenate the gasping centre! 
Dr. Dengla played the significant role in reviving the rehabilitation centre for the blind situated at Mount Abu since 2003. He was awarded as the best disable employee in 2004-05 by the government of Rajasthan. He was awarded by the district administration of district several times for the services to the blind centre at Mount Abu. Dr. Dengla has served on various posts of Rotary club of Mount Abu since 2010. He is presently the Secretary of the Rotary Club of Mount Abu. He was the club secretary and on various other posts. He is associated with the environment related work at Mount Abu as a volunteer in PFA Mount Abu. He is associated with spicmacay, Mount Abu chapter for last many years. Dr. Vimal Dengla was the founder secretary of NAB RAJASTHAN STATE Branch. Presently he is working as the general secretary of the state branch of NAB State branch, Rajasthan. He is associated with the affairs of NAB, INDIA since 2003. He was a member of Executive body from 2011-2015. Presently he is working as the elected Hon. Secretary of NAB, INDIA since 2015. He is heading various department of the association including IDBI, Ambarnath as secretary in charge. He is heading Braille press and Talking book studio at Mumbai head office situated at Worli Sea face. Under his leadership the Braille Press of NAB, India got the best Braille press award for the year 2017 on 3rd December 2017. He is a trustee of National Association for the Blind, India, Mumbai since 2015. Dr. Vimal Dengla has recently got elected on the post of Executive member, south Asia in the Asian Blind Union in 2015 in the General assembly held at Kuwait.

F) For the Post of Executive Council Member

1. Rathi Vijay Badrinarayan

Proposed project of manufacturing Sanitary pads Vending machine incinerator by blind at a ready shed of 4000Sq feet.

Business: manufacturing of special Filter Paper

PAST District Governor of ROTARY INTERNATIONAL.

As Rotarian worked for eradication of Polio Co coordinator for 8 candidates to send for study under the PEACE & Conflicts to various countries.

Traveled in Africa and third world countries for transfer of technologies for handmade paper for blind also.
