Physiotherapy
A para-medicine course as this one, offers an opportunity to visually impaired students, to pursue higher education and emerge as practicing physiotherapists. The two year certificate course introduced by NAB in 1996 admits students of 10th and 12th grade and after securing 50% in the Entrance exam held for Science and English. Recognized by the Maharashtra State Board of Vocational Examination the course provides contemporary and standardized education through registered doctors, established physiotherapists attached to hospitals and other professionals.

Subjects Covered
Learning is imparted through recorded notes on tapes, books in large script and bone models that are built specially for study. Students are made proficient in all aspects in theory and clinical practice to ready them for professional practice in real life environment.

They are taught:

  • Anatomy
  • Physiotherapy(Exercise Therapy & Electro Therapy)
  • Psychology (Human & Abnormal)
  • Physiology - I & II
  • English

Clinical sessions are held at recognized hospitals and after the completion of the course they are enrolled for an intensive internship programme. At a time only 8 are admitted in a batch.
