National Association for the Blind (I), (NAB) provides all services for the empowerment of the blind all over India. Obviously, in order to cater such huge amount of work important resources are required. NAB has developed a professional team for this purpose.

HISTORY:

Way back in 80’s as the activities of NAB expanded, NAB appointed a full time Resource Mobilization Officer. It also harnessed the goodwill of lot of celebrities and raised valuable resources.

It organized several events which were unique then but now are being utilized by many NGO’s.

ACTIVITIES:

Presently, the team utilizes a variety of modes to generate the important resources. Innovation is the order of the day.

The major resource mobilization is carried out through Schools in Mumbai. Even there, every year innovation is practiced.

We also depend on corporate donations and generally aim for long term partnership. The aim of NAB has been to enlist the support of its funders as volunteers in the various services of NAB.

The team engages itself in activities that not only generate resources but also encourage the donors for a long term partnership. NAB has taken it upon itself to create sensitization amongst various corporate to demystify blindness.
